A meticulously made breezy entertainer

rom-com that gets most things right. Abishan's Performance and Sean Roldan's songs could have been better. We have gotten a creative debut director named Madhan with a vibrant voice, who offers plenty of fun moments throughout and enough emotional touches towards the end. (more)

With Love Movie Review - Not Flashy But Faithful

With Love doesn't aim to reinvent the romantic drama genre. Instead, it focuses on emotional maturity and how people carry unfinished chapters within them and the courage it takes to close them before moving forward. The film's strength lies in its sincerity and restraint. It trusts silence, subtle expressions, and everyday conversations rather than loud confrontations.(more)

With Love movie review: A love letter to every love you never confessed

Debut director Madhan clearly understands that the best romantic films aren't about grand gestures, they're about small, truthful moments. A nervous glance across a classroom. With Love movie review: Anaswara Rajan's cute rom-com lacks emotional heft

If you think all is good and any criticism over this is nitpicking, you may not have many complaints about With Love, which is still a simple, sweet romance-comedy that celebrates young love. But if you are someone who looks for convincing psychological ties between actions and reactions, you might find many instances in this film quite contrived. Or have a problem even with a harmless cameo appearance by someone close to Sathya (because why do they give a stranger who walks by them on a train a tiffin box and never even bother to get it back? You are asked to ignore it). With Love, directed by Madhan, is a straightforward rom-com that is aware of the emotional register it is aiming for, but lacks the substance to build to it organically.(more)
