A tedious barrage of mostly unfunny jokes
With the botched execution of Jolly O Gymkhana, it is obvious that Sakthi Chidambaram has erroneously believed that an insincere effort was the right attitude to make a lighthearted comedy. This is all the more apparent with the film's hard-to-ignore lip-sync issues. Almost, every single dialogue, from the first scene, to the very last scene, seems to be ad-libbed. If these are the dialogues they chose to replace, then it is terrifying to imagine what the original lines might have been.(more)

A disgraceful attempt at comedy
Adding to all these, none of the actors register well. Each actors performance is at a different pitch, which leads us to second guess whether each of them belongs to a different film. Even though we have a corpse as the male protagonist, the film finds ways to make him fight and dance along with the much younger female lead. While the action sequence works better, the dance number between Prabhudeva and Madonna called Police Kaarana Kattikitta pops up on screen out of nowhere! If you want to hear outdated and problematic jokes one after the other, this film might be exactly what you are looking for. But otherwise, it completely lets down its intriguing basic premise and capable artistes.(more)

Prabhudeva, Abhirami-lead ensemble shoulder this slightly funny but sloppy comedy
