A stylish commercial entertainer!

KO has every ingredient of an entertainer - a juicy premise, a good star cast, foot tapping music and of course interesting foreign locations and the director's love for making stylish and flamboyant films. The director has aptly mixed intelligent and commercial cinema. The film making is nearly flawless. Dialogues are one of the strong points in the film. Songs which are already chart-busters have been picturized well and are a feast for the eyes and the ears. (more)

Ko is a spicy ride.

K V Anand's screenplay moves swiftly during the first half, courtesy the dialogues, and lags slightly in the second. Best of all are the light touches of sarcasm and humor that make it work. The role is a cake-walk for Jiiva. Its Ajmal, however, who happens to be the surprise package. Harris Jeyaraj's numbers are already chart-busters. Editor Anthony is the star, though:the shots flip by at amazing speed or linger as necessary. Go for it.(more)

Ko staggers

Ko staggers throughout, pretending to take risks and after the first misstep; it's nothing but a free fall, all the way. The funny thing is the free fall isn't a smooth ride either. It hits every protruding rock. (more)

Ko ahead.

All credits should go to the script and screenplay. Tautly written, there are hardly any logical loopholes. Jeeva is impressive and played his part exceedingly well. Karthika brings out the nuances needed for the role well. Ajmal is a revelation. Piaa is adequate. Harris Jayaraj is a major attraction. Anand deserves all accolades for rendering a brisk entertainer that is devoid of cliches. Racy all through, it is a movie that is worth a watch, if you are really not bothered about logic at certain places. (more)

All set to lord over the box office this summer!

Anand and Subha, who are credited with the screenplay, never let a dull moment creep in, peppering it with contemporary events. Jiiva gets a character-driven role in 'Ko', and comes out with flying colors. Pia Bajpai does a superb job. Karthika makes a confident debut in Tamil, though she is found wanting in some emotional sequences. Especially praiseworthy are the picturisations of the songs and the climax action sequence. (more)

A game, enjoyable and vibrant!

Emerging slowly, but steadily as a maker of commercial bonanzas with credulous twists, Anand strikes gold with Ko. Blending the commercial with the realistic is a challenge, but K.V.Anand proves adept at it. Camera person Richard.M.Nathan deserves an award for the visual splendor he provides in Ko. Jiiva - Anger or disappointment, love or comedy, he turns up trumps! A worthy break for Ajmal! Debutante Karthika's large eyes, lissomness and smile are a draw. (more)

‘Ko’ offers a good entertainment

On the whole, ‘Ko’ offers a good entertainment for the audiences. But, if K.V. Anand would have trimmed the duration of unwanted elements; it would have been an engrossing drama.(more)

Very good.

Hats off to K.V.Anand. He has done the impossible; by making a film which is realistic at the same time has all the packaging's of a commercial entertainer. Ko will surely satisfy all sections of the audiences. Ko is a triumph of honest writing. Commercial ingredients are mixed well to make it a racy entertainer, with peppy music and eye catching song picturisations. Anand also extracts spellbinding performance from his lead artists- Jiiva, Ajmal, Piaa and Karthika, which makes the film work big time.(more)

Quick Take: Go Book your Tickets, don’t try to give a miss!

On a whole KO is brave and pacy as the shown in the trailers and promos. One can’t move his eyes from the screens as the film engages the audiences with a well designed story. As confessed by KV Anand, KO is definitely double of Ayan. The film is surely a great entertainer and you will not get bored at any given point of time. Thanks for the entire team for giving a out and out chilling entertainer in this hot summer.(more)

Ko = King sized entertainer! Don't miss it!

The film works due to Anand-Subha's fresh and innovative handling of a wafer-thin story with some perfect twist and turns. The film has some striking visuals. Be it songs or action sequences, the cinematography keeps the viewer glued to the edge of their seats. Though the pace slows a bit in the second half, Anand compensates it with a thrilling climax. Peter Hein's stunt choreography is on par with Hollywood. Harris Jayaraj's songs are sure hits. Kudos to K.V. Anand for his perfect casting!(more)
