Promising Intent Goes In Vain Due To Weak Storytelling.
A simple yet a solid action script that is sufficient enough to make a strong commercial flick, opportunity has been wasted due to weak execution. If the direction and technicalities were better, this would have been Vishal�s comeback venture.(more)

An okayish cop action drama that's engaging in parts
Though Prabhu's character appears only for a short duration of time, his portion is something to watch out for. Vishal's performance is one of the major highlights of the film. He has definitely worked on his body language, especially for the constable role, and it's quite evident throughout.(more)

Vishal's action drama is riveting with minor flaws
Laththi is a departure from the underwhelming films that he was a part of in the past few years. In the film, Vishal did his best in giving a restrained performance. Sunaina, Ramana, Prabhu, Lirish Raghav and several others aided the lead cast in terms of performance. Balasubramaniem and Balakrishna Thota�s cinematography and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja�s music helped in enhancing the film. On the whole, Laththi is a different cop film and engaging for the most part. (more)
