Aishwarya Rajesh tries her best to save this hastily written road thriller

The saviour of the film is Aishwarya Rajesh and her power-packed performance. The other characters don't have much scope to showcase their acting abilities on screen. Music director Ghibran and cinematographer Gokul Benoy aptly contribute to the mood of the thriller. Driver Jamuna has engaging moments, but it's definitely not the road movie one would willingly opt for.(more)

Aishwarya Rajesh's film is slow yet engaging thriller; looks predictable, but isn't

Driver Jamuna is the kind of film that takes a lot of time to make sense. For a thriller, it reserves most of its thrills for the last 10 minutes and thats a move that may not appeal to everybody. That doesnt take away the fact that the narrative boasts of some smartness, especially in how everything is made to look predictable, but only to deceive with a solid twist. The action sequences shot inside the car are one of the highlights of the film. Theyre realistically choreographed, and serve as some of the highs of the film. If only more thrills were infused the story throughout, this wouldve made for a riveting watch.(more)

Aishwarya Rajeshs film lacks logic and inventiveness

Aishwarya Rajesh as cab driver Jamuna pulled off a neat performance in the film. So did the supporting actors, Aadukalam Naren, Sriranjini, Manikanta and Kavitha Bharathi. Driver Jamuna, however, had brilliant cinematography by Gokul Benoy. Had the makers invested more time on the screenplay, Driver Jamuna could have been more taut and interesting. (more)
