Nalan Kumarsamy with his strong background with short-form content in the past proves that he knows his mettle! Aadal Paadal starring Vijay Sethupathi & Aditi Balan is a film that deals with characters & character flaws in an engaging manner. Kutty Story is a worthy romantic anthology with interesting scripts
Anthology is evenly balanced out with a good start from Gautham Menon and a outstanding finish from Nalan Kumarasamy. Venkat Prabhu and Vijay's films could have been dealt with better, had they been more nuanced. But both of them are indeed watchable at least once.(more)

The good and the bad co-exist in this latest anthology
Despite the emotional weight of this subject, Nalan proceeds to draw all types of humour from the film. There are jokes of the dialogue variety, like when Aditi's character responds to her husband saying, "Un kaiya kaalaa nenachikaren", with "Adhaan kaal irukke."(more)

Season of love to enjoy four unconventional takes on love
Vels Films International has bankrolled 'Kutty Story' with a top notch cast and crew and its needless to add that the technical aspects of all the four stories are of the highest quality. Though the stories work within themselves and are also fairly engaging one cannot fault the audiences for expecting much better than whats on show considering the big names involved.(more)
