A Spineless Action Flick!

Action storytelling is a difficult task to achieve. Without enough dramatic strength and uniqueness in presenting the stunts, the film badly suffers even to be a passable one. The poor performances and random usage of music make things much worse. (more)

Time for Gautham Vasudev Menon to go back to the drawing board

It's extremely hard to appreciate Gautham Vasudev Menon�s latest flick since his previous films completely overshadow Joshua in terms of the story, screenplay, performances and music. And it is surprising to see how an ace director, who has delivered some big hits could have directed this film, which hardly has anything going for it. Luckily, the runtime of the film is just 130 minutes so the movie breezes by easily, but nothing about it leaves an impact once you step out of the theatre. Some would say that a seasoned director can extract the best performance even from a newcomer, but GVM has had a tough proposition with Joshua on all fronts. It is definitely time for the director to go back to the drawing board and come back with the exciting on screen magic he is known for.(more)

Action lovers and GVM fans will have a satisfying time

Gautham Vasudev Menon has tried to give his fans a modern romantic thriller with all the ingredients of the genre in place such as international drug lords, a surprise villain, a friend turned foe turned betrayer and the highs and lows of a modern relationship. But the writing has failed in mixing the elements in the right proportion to give the audience its high.(more)
