A Passable Entertainer That Could Have Been So Much Better!
Tughlaq Durbar is lightweight and it works both for and against the film. While at no point the film becomes a tedious watch, you also aren't really emotionally invested with the film. Tughlaq Durbar is a largely entertaining film that uses satire to keep us invested in the story. Parthiban is equal parts menacing and comedic, though there is room in the film for less smoldering about his erratic protg and more of his trademark humour and witticisms. (more)

A flawed yet hilarious political satire
The film becomes a rollercoaster ride driven by the good and bad side of the protagonist. Sethupathi is hilarious with his mannerisms and expressions. Karunakaran and Parthiban match the effortless comedy of Sethupathi. The trio anchors the first-half.(more)
