Judgemental Hai Kya Review

Kangana Ranaut, as always.. has put out an interesting portrayal of Bobby as this demented, struggling person trying to cope up with the flooding chaos around her. Her performance is outright internal that you almost feel it in your head about the point of views and reasonings she putforth. Rajkumar Rao shines effortlessly both in the grey shade and the evilistic darkness that gets unfolded later. (more)

JUDGEMENTALL HAI KYA is a well-made film with powerful performances from both Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao.

The film is still unpredictable but the theme and execution will restrict its audience to only multiplexes of urban areas.(more)

The film treads into a zone where Bollywood has rarely been, and just for that, it deserves applause.

'Judgementall Hai Kya' keeps the element of suspense alive all the way till the end. The film pushes the envelope as a dark, psychological whodunit, with a social message weaved in that can't be ignored. (more)

Rajkummar Rao Is Ideal Foil To Livewire Kangana Ranaut In Zany Psychological Drama

Judgementall Hai Kya delivers the message without turning preachy or self-conscious. The breezy flow of the narrative, which isn't broken until parts of the second half begin to seem a tad indulgent, ensures that we are invested in the plight of the characters all the way through.(more)

Kangana Ranaut steals the show in trippy black comedy

Prakash Kovelamudi deserves applause for pushing the envelope with a quirky thriller that goes beyond the basic realms of a whodunnit, and makes people think and absorb. It treads into a zone Bollywood rarely ventures into. Leave your judgements at home and watch this film.(more)

Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao Lead This Cinema Which Is Beyond All Reasons!

All said and done, this isn't a normal movie. From its treatment to the narrative, everything screams madness. On a brighter side, the story is strong enough to back the wacky side of it. Kangana Ranaut is definitely the queen, but this deck of cards have multiple aces to offer.(more)

Exhausting, But A True Original

Judgementall Hai Kya exert a solid grip in the first hour but in the second, the plotting becomes unsteady. Here, the narrative shifts to London, where Bobby goes to be the understudy for Sita in a play, which is a reinterpretation of the Ramayana from Sita's point of view. This strand feels more like a convenient plot device rather than an organic development. The thriller aspect gets overshadowed by messaging. In an effort to tie up the narrative strands, the writing also becomes simplistic and eventually, the big reveal feels implausible and forced.(more)

Dark thriller with superlative performances!

Thus, it is earnest, thrilling, and buoyed by charismatic performances, both by Ranaut and Rao, and succeeds in holding your interest throughout. Rao lets you into his mind and just when you think you know him, he adds another layer to his characterisation. There are sequences that propel this unique take on the revenge thriller too, but overall what matter are its gripping performances by its leads, Kangana and Rao, and the rest of the cast too!(more)
