Puri Fails Again

"Mehbooba" doesn't interest at all, all the exercise seems futile in the end. Akash Puri is the only saving grace in the otherwise dull and bland movie.(more)

Puri Jagannadh's latest film starring Akash Puri, Neha Shetty is a giant catastrophe

Films like Mehbooba are a reminder that your fate finds a way to punish you for your misdeeds and sins. But what's even more disappointing is the thought that Puri Jagannadh, the director we once knew, has transformed so much that it feels as if he has no control over what he is doing. There was a time when his wisdom, however radical it might have been, gave us memorable characters, but now, it just doesn't feel right no matter how hard you try to shake it off. Some ideas are best left untouched, or maybe even left buried under an avalanche forever. Mehbooba is one among them.(more)

Puri fails to get his mojo in rebirth film

The only good thing about Mehbooba is its cinematography, with Vishnu Sharma capturing some beautiful visuals. Music by Sandeep Chowtha is just average.(more)

Akash scores Puri fails

Mehbooba is a good story which is let down by some uneven execution. While Akash Puri shows some good prospect, the film as a whole is slow, over the top and has an unappealing love story. Some good production values, decent first half are the only assets and one can give this film a shot only for these said merits. Watch it only if you have absolutely nothing to do as there is nothing new that you have not seen before.(more)

Patriotism gone wrong

Puri Jagannadh needed more zip and emotion to make a viewer buy a reincarnation plot. Mehbooba is a strictly avoidable fare.(more)
