All the characters are well-written. The narration keeps one engaged all through. One gets a feeling of travelling in the bus as the film progresses. The film is a mix of feel-good moments and at the same time emotional moments. Overall Engeyum Eppodhum is a neat entertainer with a strong message and a must watch film for bus drivers.
Though the film runs on two parallel stories, director Saravanan's racy and clear screenplay makes it more interesting without any confusions. Kudos for all the four actors for dubbing in their own voices, which has become a rare thing in Tamil cinema.(more)

The highlight of the film is it lead actors Anjali, Ananya, Jai and Sarva who live the role of the characters they play. On the downside the film drags a bit in the first half, and there are too many flashbacks coming one after the other, which is confusing in the first half.(more)

A loveable tale of commoners and their destiny!
Engeyum Eppodhum is a film which has simplicity as its biggest strength. There is immense likeability in the way the characters have been fleshed out, as common people, and the romance becomes endearing for the same reason. And, that is also the reason that our emotions ebb and flow with them when destiny plays its hand. Cinema usually is built around antagonists and protagonists. Here, there are neither, just normal people, their lives, love and destiny. And, there are a couple of messages effectively put forth at the end. (more)
