Bursts of fizz but not consistent enough

Goli Soda 2 does have fizz. But whether it gives the high that the first installment gave is a different question.(more)

The fizz is gone

A couple of new characters are abruptly thrown into the mix, making the already-crowded screen confusing. The dialogues suddenly get too aggressive, too loud. This is director Vijay Milton suddenly taking the vigilante route and once that happens, Goli Soda 2 never gets back on track.(more)

In this thematic sequel to Goli Soda,Vijay Milton gives us three underdogs & their battle to reclaim their identity

More importantly, the way in which the protagonists fought back after being pushed to the edge was one of the highlights of Goli Soda. But here, Milton disappoints, giving us hard-to-believe scenes (one where they manage to take down hordes of gangsters is so over-the-top even for a masala movie) that bring down the overall smartness of the film. Perhaps, Milton was forced to think of novel ways because the heroes in the first film were teenagers. Here, he ends up giving us commercial cinema clichs. (more)

Though refreshing, this Goli Soda could have been lip-smacking if not for a few forced moments!

Overall, if director Vijay Milton added more surprise elements and presented this hyperlink without making it very predictable, the film could have worked better than it eventually did.(more)

Engaging mass entertainer

This is an engaging mass entertainer because the director has once again retained the emotional essence which worked big time in the first part. (more)

A sequel that remains interesting and inventive until it turns into a Hari movie

Vijay Milton's Goli Soda 2 is different - similar enough to belong to the world of Goli Soda, but dissimilar enough to stand on its own. You don't need to have seen Part 1 to follow the story. But then, you'd miss the parallels.(more)
