Subramaniapuram begins on a note of suspense that catches the viewer instantly, and sustains it till the end. The narrative is spun in an intelligent fashion. Though it moves slowly in some places, it raises the curiosity level of the viewer about what will happen next. Subramaniapuram is certain to be lapped up. Realism in all it’s splendor
Director Sasikumar has proved that a quality entertainer can be made with less-known faces provided the movie has interesting storyline with the right amount of twists. Sasikumar is a welcome addition to the list of talented directors taking center stage in Tamil cinema in recent days. ’Subramaniapuram’ is a must-watch movie for those who love realism in Tamil Cinema.(more)

Bold and Daring
Sasikumar has paid more attention to slick execution, innovative camera movements including top angle and tight close-up. The art director and costume designer has worked hard. The music director also deserves a pat on his back for coming out with some retro music. Sasikumar should be appreciated for making a bold and daring film, whose success will auger well for the industry. Subramaniapuram may be a bit brooding and dark, but still it’s worth taking a look.(more)
