Tickles you but not as often as you would have liked

Being an adult comedy, this is what could actually sum up the film. It has a lot of imagination but when it comes to the actual performance it mostly fizzles out. Too many strokes but only a few hit the right areas. Thankfully, the climax sort of makes it up(more)

With the Swamiji's blessings go for it to have many a wicked laugh that ends in a sukhanubavam climax

The film takes a long time for its setup which is a yawn and as mentioned earlier the shoddily conceived and executed kidnap episode is a major let down. There is too much dependence on talking heads to deliver the jokes and hence the screenplay and visual execution is just about average.(more)

This Gautham Karthik movie tries too hard with 'adult humour'

Hara Hara Mahadevaki reminds us of many other films. Though handled differently, two of the well-appreciated films this year, Maanagaram and Kurangu Bommai, used coincidences to move the story. Like Kurangu Bommai, the story is essentially about a misplaced bag. However, here the plot takes too long to kick in and there are plenty of stray threads that just make these coincidences jut out like a sore thumb. The chaotic climax echoes of a list of Tamil movies such as Naam Iruvar Namaku Iruvar or Ullathai Allitha. But, Hara Hara Mahadevaki's humour falls flat as it tries too hard to bring 'adult humour' in. Also, if you haven't heard the famous/infamous WhatsApp audios, you're bound to go 'what?' during the movie. Actually, stick to the audios.(more)

Hara Hara Mahadevaki Movie Review

For an adult comedy, the jokes are quite juvenile the sort that might make a teen giggle, but make no impact on an adult and hardly envelope pushing. Added to this, the best (and ribald) jokes are already in the film's trailer, so if you have seen the trailer, you can consider yourself as having seen the film. (more)
