As Pleasant as it gets
It takes a few minutes for you to get into the film as the cast is quite raw. But this rawness and the complete absence of even an iota of artificiality in the acting is what makes Aanandam such a heartwarming experience.What we see on screen are real people. (more)

It has enough to entice its target viewers - the college kids
Aanandam is all about fresh faces, both in cast and crew, but can't say that it exudes a lot of 'newness' as far as the story, characters or the feel in itself is concerned. But it has enough to entice its target viewers the college kids. The film can evoke at least a few memories for everyone, especially those who are engineers!(more)

And going by how the predominantly young college crowd in the theatre who were rapturously celebrating some of the sequences, the filmmaker seems to have served them what strikes a chord with them.
