The director also strikingly uses humour to cut through the nail-biting tension every now and then, mostly through the character of Winnings, a wannabe criminal, and Munishkanth is excellent in this role. Maanagaram is easily one of the best films in Sundeep Kishan's career and it makes you wonder what had happened to him after a solid debut in Prasthanam several years ago.
