It is Ajith who shoulders Perarasu's burden!!

Director Perarasu has brought in his usual formula—a high-speed script. The songs are indeed lilting. When Perarasu makes a movie it is bound to be captivating, at least as long as you sit in the theater. For Ajith's fans, Tirupathi is a treat. Perarasu, however, better be warned. The story line is becoming a cliche and unless he thinks of something totally new, no big hero can prop him up. (more)

Another masala entertainer.

Perarasu has kept his reputation of rendering successful commercial masala entertainers intact with Thirupathi with Ajith dazzling at his best. Ajith in the company of Perarasu and music composer Bharadwaj seems to revel in an author-backed mass role. Sadha looks ravishing in songs. Riyaz Khan is the surprise packet of the movie. Among other contributions, which deserve a special mention are Thalapathy Dinesh's stunts and cinematography by S Saravanan. (more)

Family entertainer.

Ajith has handled his stunt and dance sequences very well. Sadha has done full justice to her role. Comedy has been hilariously handled by the budding Kanja Karuppu and the veteran M.S.Bhaskar. Bharadwaj's Music gels well with the script. Thalapathi Dinesh's stunts are a treat to watch and so is the cinematography by Saravanan. It is a film made for the die hard Ajith fans with eye-catching dialogues and is a family entertainer.(more)
