Keep out the logic, you might enjoy the fun and crazy treatment!

Director Abbas Akbar's sole intention to entertain people with his humour is notable, and he has succeeded to an extent. With a more engaging and fun screenplay and a confined writing, Abbas could've scored much better. Overall, audience who appreciate screenplays with different treatment and characterisations can enjoy C2S better than others.(more)

CHENNAI 2 SINGAPORE MOVIE REVIEW

The film is quite uneven; for every scene that generates a laugh or two, we get a couple that are dead weight, especially in the first half. The Chennai-set portions are frankly cringe-worthy. Even the visuals are flat, despite the setting being Singapore.(more)

This Abbas Akhtar-Gokul film is a mindless entertainer

The film looks neat and uses Singapore's locales well. But the main pillar for the film is Ghibran's music. The man is on a roll with Aramm, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Mayavan and now, Chennai 2 Singapore. The album is already a hit. The background constantly keeps adding the fun element to the narrative; especially a piece, where Harish, Vanampadi and the villain share a boat to reach Emcee Jesz's location. The music is vibrant, fresh and light-hearted, making the overall experience much better.(more)

A film that can be enjoyed only in parts!

While touted as a rom-com, there's hardly any 'rom' in 'C2S' and only 'com' overtakes. Though the intension of the director is to make audiences laugh, he writing is inconsistent. There are many logical loopholes and the visuals are average despite shot in Singapore. The best thing about the movie is the unconventional and zappy music by Ghibran, who is also the co-producer of the movie. A film that can be enjoyed only in parts!(more)
