Kushi - second innings.
Though Vijay has given a creditable performance, unfortunately the lack of a novel story and a dull script which moves the movie at a snail's pace unfortunately take the sheen out of it all. Genelia is too expressive. Vadivelu's usual brand of humour fails to work. The real hero of the movie is cinematographer Jeeva. Devi Sri Prasad has rendered typical peppy numbers. (more)

For Vijay's fans.
It is a near rehash of Kushi. The film's main scoring point is the excellent cinematography. Genelia has done well. Her expressive eyes and emoting ability have been brought out nicely. It is a cakewalk for Vijay and his role has been etched out keeping his fans' expectations in mind. His comedy track with Vadivelu is quite run-of-mill. (more)

Candy floss romance.
Sachein is a candy floss romantic entertainer. The film can be classified as Kushi-2, as it is a feel-good love story. The high points are Devi Sri Prasad's chic score, Thotta Tharani's minimalist sets, and cinematographer Jeeva's breath taking camera and diffused lighting which gives it a cool look. Genelia is charming and pitches in with a good performance. Watch Sachein for this one man (Vijay) show, he is there in every frame of the film.(more)

An entertainer.
Sachein is the latest entertainer from Vijay that has a feel-good charm about it. Vijay, Vadivelu, Balaji and Santhanam present some laughable sequences. Genelia's sparkling eyes and cheerful smiles are a treat. Jeeva's cinematography lends an aesthetic touch to the movie. Composer Devi Sri Prasad's beats in the racy numbers are so typically Telugu. 'Sachein' should prove a successful debut for writer-director John Mahendran. (more)

A feel good film.
Vijay simply excels. Genelia of Boys fame bowls you over with her stunning looks and mind blowing performance. Vadivelu's comedy is enjoyable. Debutant Joahn Mahendran's narrative is quite unique. Though the film has shades of Vijay's earlier film Khushi, the treatment makes it different and interesting. Devi Sri Prasad's music is good. Jeeva's cinematography makes the film a visual treat.(more)
