An Idea does not make a film

There are are a few such sparkles here and there. But the film as a whole does not hold you at any point. There is no sense of flow to the proceedings. One boring bit follows the other. Shiva manages to tickle your funny bones with his usual deadpan dialogue delivery style. Bobby breezes through his goon act once again. Good intent, lost in translation!

Masala Padam also has a positive side. It shows the harsh reality on how the film industry works today and what people actually expect from a film. It is nice to see that there is some effort that has gone behind the product which, however gets lost in due course. (more)

A unique attempt flawed by slow execution

The movie starts ambitiously and in the means to convey the emotional connect between the characters the execution goes tad slow juggling between characters and some dull music by Karthick still drags down the movie's intention. (more)
