Light-hearted entertainment.

The original did have its weaker moments - like the underdeveloped characters in the hero's and the heroine's families - and it is no different here. And for an (almost) frame-by-frame remake, the scenes feel stretched and Jawahar doesn't quite capture the playful tone of the original. For those who have seen the original, this Tamil version wouldn't seem as charming (obviously!), but there is enough here for someone looking for light-hearted entertainment.(more)

Watchable

MOKK can be enjoyed for the light-hearted screenplay and the satisfying performances of the lead pair-Walter Phillips and Isha Talwar. Especially, Walter Phillips is quite good for a newcomer. Humor comes natural to Walter and he has the charm to become the next chocolate boy in Kollywood whereas it's a cakewalk for Isha as she has only repeated the same set of expressions from the original. Meeendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai is a one time watch and is sure to bring a gentle smile on your face. (more)

One-time Watch

The film has many logical loopholes. While topics like communism worked well in the original film, it doesn't create much of an impact in Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai, especially when it is being told from a place like Kanyakumari. Though not as good as the original, Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai makes for a decent one time watch. (more)
