A new Salman isn't that bad
Director Kabir Khan acheives giving us a Salman we havent seen in a while- the actor tries to surface above the hero. We see him at least trying to make an effort, and not just standing in the frame waiting for things to happen on their own. (more)

Director Kabir Khan captures the attention of the viewers right from first shot of this character driven film. The impeccable camaraderie between him and his lead star Salman Khan was seen in their last blockbuster film EK THA TIGER. This time round, the camaraderie has grown by leaps and bounds, which can be seen in this film. For all those who have seen Kabir Khan's work in thriller and action films like KABUL EXPRESS, NEW YORK and EK THA TIGER will be in for a huge surprise when they see BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN.(more)

Bajrangi Bhaijaan even if you aren�t an inveterate Salman Khan fan. Harshaali will steal your heart.
Director Kabir Khan pulls out an old chestnut � the theme of humanity trumping a history of bitterness. Into this perennially bubbling cauldron, he throws a devout, upright Hindu do-gooder and an achingly beatific but speechless six-year-old Pakistani girl stranded on the Indian side of the border. Bridging many divides � religion, national identity, food habits � the two develop an unlikely bond that wipes out all prejudices. (more)

Director evolve - Kabir Khan's fascination with borders shows again, but while his Ek Tha Tiger was a glamorous cosmopolitan cocktail, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a pure South Asian jalebi, rounded, warm, simple and sweet. Kabir captures the tension of India-Pakistan without negativity and with soft charm, skillfully using a superstar as an actor, a child artist as a superstar and a border as a muse that opens up the world. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a solid crowdpleaser
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is seriously long and the climax feels it might never end, but hey, haven�t classic Bollywood weepies always gone on forever? At least Kabir Khan has done his tearjerking properly, added in some burkha tomfoolery and, at one point when the young girl wants chicken and her guardian can�t deal with it, even thrown some Benny Hill madness into it.(more)

This film is a must watch for lovers of pure Hindi commercial cinema; it�s also decent entertainment
Kabir Khan took flak for the blockbuster �Ek Tha Tiger�; for this one, he is to be applauded. He has optimized the magnetism of Salman Khan & built his populist story in an easily consumed, entertaining manner. This is a very decent commercial film, notwithstanding a very filmy climax.(more)
