The team hasn't pushed the boundaries in terms of thrills and chills. They have stuck to the already over-exploited pale faced, dark eyed, brassy and deep throated basic ghost template, which is the lone 'not much fun' element in the movie. (more)

Debutant director Sam Anton's Darling is an entertaining comic-horror flick with some good writing and performances. Darling starts with a couple coming to a guest house and both gets murdered in a strange fashion. Cut to the present, the film resumes with GV Prakash, a depressed youngster who decides to commit suicide as his lover cheated him and he is soon joined by his friend Bala Saravanan, a beautiful girl Nikki Galrani and highly enjoyable Karunas who all are having their individual reasons to commit suicide(more)

Hollywood has had horror comedies for a long time but here, it is heartening to see our directors adapting the must-haves of the genre to our culture and lifestyle so that we are emotionally invested in the films.
