Yawn worthy
There is little sense to what ensues on screen. Somewhere the film tries hard to be a witty smart satire but it is I'll equipped and rests solely on cheap humour to find the laughs.(more)

BANGISTAN is a pointless film that fails to make you laugh or entertain
The film fails to start with a 'bang' (no pun intended!) and this 'bang-less ness' continues throughout the first half of the film. The two things that act as a uniform villain in this film are its terrible screenplay (Puneet Krishna, Sumit Purohit, Karan Anshuman), which is doubled with poor direct...(more)

Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat's humourless comedy is too preachy
Two guys of different religions pretending to be like the other. The characters are interesting and quirky. Each one is ready to become a human bomb and sacrifice his life. The director, who wishes to depict the futility of war fought in the name of God and religion, stays on track. Despite the dry choice of subject, Bangistan makes valiant attempts to keep the humour alive during its two-hour running time.(more)

It's all about sin, satire and salvation
Director Karan Anshuman's debut film, delivers on this front very ably: It is about two forever-quarelling neighbouring countries, South and North Bangistan! Why this 'intriguing' name? Because the two protagonists become suicide bombers later in the film. But that doesn't justify the title, right? (more)

Bangistan is a colossal disappointment
Bangistan spends most of its runtime cloyingly trying to establish itself as a satire, when the best it delivers is a haphazardly put together set-pieces and characters we just cant be bothered about.(more)
