Raja Natwarlal Plain Boring

There is just not enough meat in the con jobs in the film. The people Raja cons are so dumb one wishes they get conned every single living day. Then there is the unbelievably lack luster love track between Raja and Ziya, which only seems to have been thrown in to make way for songs.(more)

It is a limp con job

This is a film that telegraphs its punches right from scene one - you know exactly how the con is being played out, and who the accomplice is. And that is how it goes. You can tell what's going to happen next even before the present scene is over. (more)

Emraan Hashmi's Raja Natwarlal is a fun, one-time watch

In terms of performances, Emraan is doing what he is mostly loved for, kissing the heroine, being the street-smart hero who goes the wrong way to set things right. Not much of a variety there, but he does not disappoint playing Raja.(more)

Raja Natwarlal lacks directorial finesse

It would be a shorter film, but its problems dont end there. It is written out like comic-book style pulp, but shot as flatly as bad television. Things are in place, and while its not a bad film per se, it could have something far cooler. It reminded me frequently of the film 99 but only if direct...(more)

"Raja Natwarlal" Could just be a watchable fare

The film is packed to the brim with all essentials of a masala-entertainer. Theres a gripping premise of a revenge plan, little bit of comedy, some interesting dialogues and convincing performances from the chief cast. But in a bid to broaden the suspense and make the twists more unpredictable, the...(more)

Go watch - this one is, ahem, definitely worth a kiss.

Small-time con-man Raja wants to take revenge on big-time criminal Vardha - will swindler-guru Yogi help or double-cross him? Review: Raja Natwarlal is a golden-hearted con for it leaves you smiling at its tricks, despite obvious flaws. Raja (Emraan) and partner Raghav (Deepak) pull off small co...(more)

Interesting story told predictably, it leaves you bored out of your mind

Raja Natwarlal is the kind of film that leaves you bored out of your mind. I'm going with a generous two out of five. It won't give you a migraine, but it's so banal, you would probably have more fun doing your laundry instead.(more)
