Tedious.
First and foremost, it's an excruciatingly predictable fare with no story and at 2 hours and 45 minutes, it's a laboriously long, and truly a test of your patience. The humor is ordinary and frankly, there is not even a single scene that makes you smile. Piaa looks cute and is promising. Yuvan's music cannot save the film. The film needs urgent trimming, especially the second half. The Venkat Prabhu "holiday" is not a very pleasant experience. (more)

Harmless fun!
Venkat Prabhu's screen play appears to be bewildered at times whether to travel on the comedy track or the serious one. The audience is left to judge for themselves. Adequate care in this department would have made a huge positive difference to the film. Songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja have been picturised well and re-recording is just fine. Sakthi Saravanan’s cinematography works in tandem with the mood of the film. (more)

Tautness could have made a difference.
The premise is frivolous, the edifice viz. the screenplay, isn't too strong. 'Goa' makes you laugh in fits and starts and gets you tapping your feet for the theme music as you enjoy the gorgeous ambiance of the film. But narration-wise it only passes muster. Jai is getting better with every film. Premgi Amaren is his usual naive self. It is a big break for Vaibhav, he does a flawless job. And Sneha plays her role with ease. Goa is good in parts.(more)

Goa - cool, it's hot.
Think Goa, you are immediately reminded of fun, frolic, women and wine. Venkat Prabhu's 'Goa' is no different as the movie dwells on all these things. With more of a Bollywood feel, the movie is 'funathon', that is light and breezy all through without any seriousness involved in it. Yuvanshankar Raja is the real scene-stealer. Sakthi Saravanan's camera is equally appealing capturing the sands and sea-shores with clarity. If you want to unwind yourself, forget all logic and enjoy 'Goa'.(more)

Story-less Goa nevertheless entertains.
There's practically no story to speak of; it's just every guy's fantasy come true, with babes, beaches and endless bathing. And plenty of SFX gimmicks to keep you in your seat. Thankfully, its characters are realistic and that keeps you going. Enjoy this holiday for what it is, with no great expectations about a story and Goa might keep you entertained. (more)

Skip logic, enjoy this Venkat Prabhu holiday!
Goa is different, be it in the story, screenplay or characterization and is for mature audiences. It is a perfectly-planned holiday for all those who seek pure entertainment on the silver screen! Venkat has again created a successful commercial entertainer. It looks like the entire cast and crew enjoyed working in this movie. This is evident from the performances by the cast. They are all at ease. Goa is a visual treat. (more)
