Jokes of (A) Kind

Apart from such basic ingredients of adult humour you got to have something that would suggest that the film has a plot or atleast a thread running. If that is lacking then you need to pack the entire two hours with laugh a minute gags which is a huge ask. Just like how good stunt sequences alone do not make a good 'action movie' the very presence of adult jokes does not guarantee a good 'adult comedy'.(more)

A Brave Attempt Indeed

Director Adhik Ravichandran's gutsy attempt deserves a mention. Trisha Illana Nayanthara is one of the boldest films of Tamil cinema, for it reminds you of movies like American Pie and The Hangover. Having said that, this film suffers when it comes to its screenplay. The first half is draggy at places and might make you glance at your watch a couple of times. (more)
