Weak handling of a Heartwarming story

The best thing about Anjala is the content. It is about the bonding that Pasupathy has with his tea stall which was built by his grandfather in the pre-independence era. It is not everyday that you get a plot like this. The film has(atleast on paper) some very good moments. These moments are about the relationship of the inhabitants of the tea stall with Pasupathy and with the people around. Anjala is an honest attempt with an excellent intent. But intent alone never suffices. (more)

A lovely subject treated carelessly

It seems such a tragedy that a fascinating plot is messed up this way. But yes, Pasupathys extraordinarily dignified performance as the man who genuinely feels for the boys who work for him and the community around, stops Anjala from sinking to the very bottom.(more)
