Stereotypically chaotic & ends up in a mess!

The storyline is nothing new. It moves along the lines of many films from the past, one of them being the recently released Desi Kattey. There is too much confusion in the film and Shaad Ali overdid a lot of elements combined with poor writing and screenplay. Also, a few fashion classes are highly recommended to the creators and the actors involved.Kill Dil is a stereotype and offers nothing new to the audience. Its a complete waste of money and therefore advisable to be skipped! (more)

Kill Dils ending just made me want to yell, Kill Me!

Kill Dil wont make you cringe for sure, but the film suffers from mistaken identity and that remains its perennial problem. We have a dancing Godfather, who decides to break into a dance at the drop of a hat. There are two many songs in the film that dilutes the central drama. The camaraderie works, the romance does too, but what doesnt work is the films story. The botched up climax and the abrupt, muddled ending killed the little goodness that was there in the film. Kill Dils ending just made me want to yell, Kill Me! The film is such a waste of a fine caste and what had the potential of being a good film.(more)

Ranveer, Parineeti are buried under despite their best efforts, Govinda cant save it either.

This has steadily and sadly become a Yashraj trademark, the studio that has given Hindi cinema so many of its beloved landmarks, this cannibalizing bits and pieces of its own films without being able to give us a story we can believe in. Its one thing to have an element or two which is exaggerated, its completely another to get through a full film with such few credible moments.(more)

Kill Dil is a disaster!

What it does have is a knockout title track from composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, where Sonu Nigams rendition alone packs more punch than two hours of the deflated bromance between Ali and Ranveer. Id happily sit through two hours of K-k-k-k-kill the Dil playing in a loop over this pretence of a caper thats a no go in both style and substance.Their co-star Ranveer Singh is a charming lad and quite a hoot when he can regulate his hyper energy. But his character in Kill Dil is too haphazard to make sense. As admirably as he tries, occasionally scooping out a laugh out loud, his change of heart is ridiculously unnatural.(more)

KILL DIL is a film, which could have been worth watching, had it been handled and directed properly. This film's definitely worth a miss

KILL DIL, which is set in North India, starts off with a shaky camera which introduces the two protagonists Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali Zafar), who are self-confessed 'haraamis'. The duo reveal that their childhood was all about learning 'M for Maaki' and 'B for Behenki...' in place of 'A for Apple, B for Ball'. It was their 'Godfather'Bhaiyaaji (Govinda) who handpicked them up from the dustbin and not only gives them shelter, but also nurtures them to become professional killers. Life goes on absolutely smooth for these two free spirited and trigger happy killers till the time Dev saves the 'criminal-transformer-into-human beings' Disha (Parineeti Chopra) in a night club.(more)

Kill Dil if you have plenty of time to kill. It is unlikely to deliver much joy to your dil, though.

Kill Dil has its own variation on the theme: the protagonist, having traded his gun for a fake graduation certificate, hops from one place to another desperately looking for employment. Predictably, he is summarily ticked off by stand-offish interviewers and sent packing. (more)

A predictable story mars the genius of Govinda, Ranveer Singh's performances.

The heroes in Kill Dil may be gun-wielding goons, but they are not bad heart -- just blame it all on the situations they are in. But the villain and his follies? They are unexplained, mainly because he is the villain. He is meant to be mean. With Kill Dil, you get the ever-energetic Ranveer Singh in Dev, a very powerful Govinda in Bhaiyaji, a strong and level-headed Parineeti in Disha and a Dostana-style (the 1980 movie starring Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha) loving friend in Ali Zafar's Tutu. With high production value, the movie also offers beautiful locales, colourful sets and well-choreographed songs. However, it falls flat at the most crucial point, its story. Kill Dil gives you an extremely predictable story (more)
