POI SOLLA POROM

Watch it, its fun!

The movie is fun and enjoyable, with a slightly different storyline that has not been tried for a long time in Tamil cinema. With a decent cast that fits to the T, and its unpretentious, on-the-face narration, the movie easily passes through as a perfect excuse for killing time without being bored to death. A neatly crafted screenplay, near-witty dialogues, and situations those are easy to relate with real life form the crux of Poi Solla Porom.(more)

Laugh riot.

Vijay has given us a fun film of the first order that is sweetly realistic. It's great fun fare, but the film moves slowly in the first half and warms up only towards the rip-roaring climax. M G Sreekumar's music is not suited for the Tamil audiences. The major plus points are Aravind Krishna's camera and Antony's simple cut-to-cut editing. (more)

Fun and racy.

The theme isn't exactly a new one, and neither is it a stark presentation - but Poi touches you in more ways than one. Vijay's screenplay and execution pass muster - mostly due to the cast's performance - but his contribution towards the dialogues is near faultless. M G Sreekumar's music fits the urban theme. Arvind Krishna's camera showcases the actors lovingly. Selvakumar's art and Antony's editing together combine to provide neat work.(more)

A must-see film for all.

Poi Solla Porom(PSP) is praiseworthy for the sense and sensibility beneath the line of comedy. Screenplay is a strong point. The film has no item numbers, duets or stunts, but is immensely watch-worthy. Director Vijay deserves to be lauded for many aspects of PSP. One, of course, is the cast. Vijay's dialogue, both humorous and thought-provoking, tickles the viewer almost throughout. The makers should laugh their way to the bank. They deserve to.(more)

For the funny bone.

All credits to director Vijay for faithfully remaking Khosla Ka Ghosla. The movie has comical touch all through entertaining the audience. Aravindh Krishna's cinematography, music by M G Sreekumar and Anthony's editing are the hallmarks of the movie. Talented stars like Nedumudi Venu, Cochin Haneefa, Nasser and Mouli have been ably supported by the young brigade. Watch out for Poi Solla Porom, it is a movie for those who love comedy.(more)
