Vikram show all the way.
It is clearly Vikram's movie all the way. The man is a star enough to shoulder the hefty role. Trisha looks wan and tired in a couple of songs, but otherwise manages to carry off he role. The stunt director easily walks away with all the honors' for the movie - it's a bash fest, and he knows it. Bheema has all the trappings of a blockbuster - and it may yet become one. (more)

Too much action, too little story.
Prakashraj, as always, comes up with a top notch performance. Vikram once again stuns us with his subtle body language, incendiary acting and skillful dialogue delivery. Trisha makes the most out of her role, looking cute all through the film and ravishing in the song sequences. R D Rajasekhar's cinematography is a treat for the eyes. Anthony's editing is terrific. The stunts by Kanal Kannan will be a major draw. Harris Jeyaraj's music, of course, is very good.(more)

Bloodshed takes unpleasant proportions.
It's bloody. It's mayhem. Bheema's redeeming factors are many. Vikram for one! Kudos to his diligence! Harris Jayaraj has moved up a notch with another hit album. Aesthetically filmed (R.D.Rajasekar) in a tastefully done up milieu (Rajeevan), the sequences are a connoisseur's treat. Skilled scissoring (Antony) keeps up the tempo to an extent. 'Kanal' Kannan's action choreography is another positive aspect. (more)

Action thriller.
It is an action thriller, but for a thriller it's pretty lukewarm as the plot is predictable and doesn't once take you by surprise. The film has a wafer thin story line. However, the saving grace is Vikram's knock out performance. R.D Rajasekhar's camera is terrific. Harris Jayaraj's pleasant tunes are a major plus. Another highlight is Kanal Kannan's well crafted action sequences. (more)
