Arima Nambi - Adrenaline Rush

Anand Shankar has hit the bulls-eye in his first feature film. He has his finger on the pulse of the audience right from the word go. There are cinematic liberties taken. The scene where the hero casually walks into a police restricted zone in a public media office could have been taken care of.(more)

Commercial entertainer with some stylish making, worth a watch

The director clearly has adequate knowledge of the present day world - the general hang out spots of the youth, the world of the internet - and a lot of research appears to have gone in to learn the type of gadgets policemen and media use for investigations and tracking.(more)

'Arima Nambi' Is gripping in parts

Vikram Prabhu should be given a pat for choosing a script that is apt for his stature. He plays to near perfection and never overreacts. He is full of energy in action blocks especially the long chase sequence atop tall buildings is laudable.(more)

A stylish thriller, which can been watched once.

Director Anand Shankar shows the signs of being a sincere student from AR Murugadoss' school with his good pace in the screenplay. The whats-next feeling will be maintained through out Arima Nambi. His homework on modern-day gadgets used by police and underworld dons is visible. (more)

When Anamika, the girl who he is on a date with, is kidnapped, Arjun goes to the police for help and gets into a dangerous situation from where there is no escape.

Arima Nambi opens with a conversation in a high-end restaurant where we see Arjun Krishna (Vikram Prabhu in a role that is not so different from the one in Ivan Vera Mathiri) and his friends rating girls. 'Oh no, not again,' you cringe and fear what the rest of the film will be like. But then, we get a very nice meet-cute. Arjun sees Anamika ( Priya Anand, just adequate), a confident young girl, in the crowd and approaches her. He woos her with a song, gets her contact and a day later, the two are off on a date drinking and talking to their hearts' content. Anamika invites Arjun to her home for a drink and everything seems cozy (it is refreshing to see a film that doesn't make a fuss over its leads drinking).(more)

Arima Nambi is a thriller gone haywire

But when I get into an Indian thriller, I am mid-way between heaven and earth. I am never sure that the feats of the hero can be far-fetched. But, that is what the script aims for to keep you dangling between terra-firma and the clouds. (more)
