Bewildering suspense in a family format!

Less violent and more thrilling than the innumerable films you come across in the action genre, 'Pachchai Kili Muthu Charam' woven on a leitmotif of suspense, keeps the viewer engrossed.. Harris Jeyaraj's score is in tune with the mood of the script. Cinematography (Arvind Krishna) is an unobtrusive component that follows the story aesthetically. Rajeevan (art) has created milieus with taste, while Anthony's editing adds to the thrill. (more)

Recommended.

Pachaikili is intelligently crafted taut thriller that consolidates Menon's reputation as the Tamil thriller king. The surprise twists that hits you like a sledgehammer is the major plus of the film. The lead actors in the film deliver some of their finest performances ever. Music and background score plays a key role in the film. Gautham is ably supported by his technical team. On the downside the film could have been trimmed a bit towards the climax. (more)

Hats off to the entire team of Pachaikili Muthucharam.

The script is the single biggest strength of the movie. The narration never sways from the main plot, no unnecessary frills. Camera work is excellent and so is the editing. The music is another high point. The Harris Jeyaraj-Gautham team does it for the fourth time in a row. It is a two hour something movie that does not permit you to take your eyes off the screen; nor does it get off your mind for hours after. (more)

A director's film.

Performances from the entire cast are commendable. While it's Arvind Krishna who has worked on a major chunk of the film, Nirav Shah has cast his spell in the concluding reels. Experts like art director Rajeevan and Editor Anthony have contributed to the compact flow of the script. Musical score by Harris Jayaraj is excellent. One must hand it to Gautham Menon for keeping the film from degenerating into a melodrama by giving the right mix of action and drama. (more)

Real and racy, glossy and gritty.

It takes guts and gumption to stitch an icy thriller with the tapestry of commercial cinema. Take a bow Gautham & Co, you have just pulled off a memorable coup as Pachai Killi Muthucharam is an over two-hour non-stop excitement that pins you down to your chair. Pachai Kili Muthucharam is a commercial entertainer but is filled with all the right stuff that at no point you feel bored.(more)
