Chikku Bukku is tedious
This is one candy floss journey that has everything going for it technically, but is even less substantial than the bubbly, frothy emotions it's supposed to promote. Its Manigandan, though, who needs to shoulder the blame for such a lame script. Chikku Bukku could have been a neat romantic tale, but...(more)

Passable journey with few breakdowns
Chikku Bukku is a high-fashioned flick with luxurious realms of technical aspects and boasts of some good performances by actors as well. On the dot, if there is one perfect reason to get you intact with the show, the brilliant visuals stand out as a substantial ingredient. Sluggish screenplay turns...(more)

He has taken the basic thread from Bollywood Rom-com’s, mixed it with exotic locations, eye catching picture postcard shots, stylishly shot songs, trendy costumes along with beautiful people. The film, despit...(more)

Manikandan has tried to ensure that the movie has no dull moments. However at many...(more)

Continuity issues
The film has a very elegant and breezy first half, but the second half is predictable and cliched. The second half needs urgent trimming to increase the pace of the film. Overall if you are looking for some good weekend entertainment, then Chikku Bukku is the right choice!(more)

On a romantic trail
Chikku Bukku is a neat film that moves on parallel tracks, before the lines meet and culminate in a joyous climax. And though guessable, the narration sustains your interest. A feel-good romance! As a travelogue it isn't new, but the presentation is fresh. (more)
