A career high film for Surya.

Gautam breaks the grammar of the one-minute-one-scene scriptwriting technique successfully. His screenplay is racy and fast. Surya fits the role perfectly. Harris Jayaraj does a commendable job with the background music that increases the tempo of the movie. The dialogues are short, they could have been delivered well. Though the director is a tad biased while describing the police, one must salute his positive attitude. (more)

Very Good.

Gautam Menon has once again asserted that he is a path breaking writer-cum-director who has his viewers’ adrenalin pumping. Moreover an exceptional ensemble cast does full justice to this stylized tale. Speed, style and sparkle are the essence of Kaakha Kaakha. In the lead, Surya gives an outstanding performance. Jyothika is strikingly sweet and subdued. However the highlight of the film is the background score and peppy songs of Harris Jayaraj. If you are looking for a sensible film with substance, go ahead and have a blast. (more)

Jothika looks refreshingly beautiful and has performed naturally. Gautam Menon has given an extremely fast paced gripping film with punching dialogues and engaging crime scenes. Harris Jayaraj's background score and Rajsekhar's cinematography is an added asset to the film.(more)
