Neethane En Ponvasanthan is a romantic film directed by Gautham Menon starring Jiiva and Samantha in lead roles. Sony Music is said to have acquired the audio rights of NEP for a whopping price which is said to be much higher compared to VTV audio rights which was also bagged by the same music company.

The ace director has joined with the music maestro Ilayaraja for the first time. Gautham has a penchant for good music in his films and most of the tracks of his films have turned out to be chartbusters. Gautham Ilayaraja combo is expected to weave some musical magic and the expectation for the audio is quite high. The audio will be released in July.

Prachi Desai of 'Rock On' and 'Life Partner' fame has been roped in to play the female lead in K.S. Ravikumar's Bollywood venture. The ace director who is remaking Vikram, Trisha starrer 'Saamy' in Hindi. Prachi Desai will play the role essayed by Trisha in Tamil. Prachi has also worked in films like Bol Bachchan Bol, Teri Meri Kahaani and awaiting its release. Sanjay Dutt will play the lead. Prakash Raj plays the baddie. The film will start rolling from July 15 and likely to be shot in Mumbai or Hyderabad.

Cheran back to direction!!

Cheran is getting back to don his director's hat after some while. The director is currently acting in Vasanth's 'Moondru Per Moondru Kadal'. The actor cum director has started to work on his next project which will have Sarvanand of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame as the lead. Nithya Menon of 180 fame is buzzed to play the female lead.

Cheran has decided to focus only on direction staying behind the camera. G.V. Prakash will set the music score for this untitled film and has started composing music. The film is expected to begin from July. 

Rowdy Rathore enters 100 crore club

Prabhu Deva is a very happy man and on cloud nine as his recent Bollywood flick Rowdy Rathore is raking in Big moolah at the Box Office. The film has done exceptionally good business since its release on June 1. The film which is a remake of Telugu ‘Vikramarkudu’ (Tamil Siruthai’) starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha has proved successful as a commercial entertainer and made it to the 100 crore club. The film has managed to collect 101 crores in its second week at the Box office. Its double dhamaka for Akshay as his earlier release ‘Housefull 2’ also crossed the 100 crore mark. 

Making of Vishwaroopam

Kamal recently unveiled the First Glimpse of Vishwaroop at IIFA Singapore. The film's first look has received good response from audience all over. Another moment of joy for the veteran actor is his venture into Hollywood. He will make his Hollywood debut with 'The Lord of the Rings' producer Barrie Osborne. The versatile actor will be penning the script as well as act and direct the film.
