Mani Ratnam started shooting for his upcoming film 'Kadal' roping in Karthik's son Gautham and Samantha as the lead. The film is touted to be an intense love story with the backdrop of the sea. I had to do so as I have messed up with my dates because of falling sick.  Also my other films are 60% complete while I have not yet shot for Mani sirs film, so I guess this had to happen."
