Thuppakki Poster stirs controversy
The recently released First Look poster of 'Thuppakki' in which Vijay is seen smoking a cigar has irked the social activists. The posters were put up all over Tamil Nadu. The poster has violated the norms proposed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which banned the display of any tobacco products or its usage in films and television programs.
Several activists including Soumya Anbumani, chairperson of Pasumai Thayagam have raised objections on the poster. One of the social activist has filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Police regarding the violation.

Mugamoodi climax shoot
The climax of Jiiva's Mugamoodi is being shot in Karaikal. The superhero flick has shaped up well and being shot in a fast phase. The film being a dream project of Mysskin, the director had put in a great deal of effort in crafting the sequences in the film. Jiiva is sporting a new avatar as a superhero and wears a specially designed superhero costume and mask. Jiiva, Narain, Nasser, Pooja Hegde and the rest of the cast will be part of the climax shoot.
A stunt director from Hong Kong with choreograph the action sequence which is very crucial to the film. A 15 days shoot has been planned for this schedule. Major portion of the film would be wrapped with this shoot and the remaining portions are to be shot in Chennai. The team has planned to shoot the song sequences in foreign locations.
Pooja opts out of Bala's film
Pooja who plays a pivotal role in Bala's upcoming film 'Paradesi' is said to have walked out of the film due to personal reasons. Pooja who had played the lead role in Bala's 'Naan Kadavul' had been roped in by the director for 'Paradesi' also. Atharva and Vethika play the lead roles in the film. Dhansikha of 'Aravaan' fame has landed in the role of Pooja. The film is based on a Malayalam novel 'Eriyum Thanal'. Music by G.V. Prakash.
Arya and Santhanam's 'Settai' begins
The Tamil remake of Delhi Belly has been tentatively titled 'Settai' for now. The production house is in the lookout for a better title and the announcement will be made once it is freezed. The shooting of Settai has begun. Arya, Santhanam, Premgi Amaren, Nasser, Hansika and Anjali play the lead roles. The film is directed by Kannan and the first schedule is to be shot at Binny Mills for 24 days. Telugu comedian Ali has been roped in to play a key role. The film is produced by UTV.
Rattinam Trailer
Rattinam is a romantic film starring new faces Laguvaran and Swati in the lead roles directed by debutant Thangasamy. Manu Ramesan has done the music. Sundar Rajan has wielded the camera and Gopi Krishna has edited the film. The film will hit the screens on May 11.
