Maatraan starring Surya and Kajal Agarwal is a high voltage action entertainer directed by K.V. Anand. The expectations for the film are soaring sky high. The team had recently shot in Jodhpur despite the scorching heat. Major talkie portions of the film is said to have been wrapped and the post production work is expected to begin soon. 

Harris Jayaraj who scores the music has said that 85% of the music part has been done. The remaining work is expected to be completed in 45 days by which the audio would be ready for a launch. Interestingly the song compositions happened while cruising on a ship along the Mediterranean Sea. Harris is said to have composed 3 songs in just a week's time. The film is expected to hit the screens in July.

Vaallu gets ready for a teaser!!!

Simbu and Hansika will play the lead in a new film titled 'Vaallu' to be directed by debutant Vijay. Santhanam and VTV Ganesh play supporting cast. A short teaser is to be shot first with the four of them. A scene from the film has been planned to be shot as a teaser. A photo shoot also has been scheduled after the teaser shoot. Popular celebrity photographer G. Venkatram would do the photo shoot. 

Simbu had returned from Thailand after shooting for Poda Podi. He is also shooting for Vettaimanan. Hansika is also part of Vettaimannan and appears as a gangster. Hansika will now play the love interest of Simbu in Vaallu, which would be a comedy entertainer. Music by Thaman.

Movie updates

Vishal and Pranitha to sizzle?

Vishal seems to be on a roll as the actor has been roped in a handful of films. Vishal who is currently shooting for Samar will join hands with Sundar C for 'Madha Gaja Raja'. He has signed for a film with 'Engeyum Eppothum' director Saravanan. The actor would join hands with Lingusamy for Sandakozhi 2 and a project with director Bala is also on the cards. 

Pranitha who has caught the attention of K-Town after landing into the most awaited political thriller Saguni is buzzed to play the lead opposite Vishal in the film to be directed by Saravanan. The director is set to direct an action entertainer this time. However the actress seem to have denied it as rumours as she has never been approached for the role. She is excited about her role in Saguni and is awaiting its release.

Siddharth acquires Vicky Donor rights

The recently released Bollywood flick 'Vicky Donor' starring Ayushmann Khurana, Yaami Gautam produced by John Abraham turned out to be a surprise hit at BO. Siddharth who thoroughly enjoyed the film had gone ahead and bought the remake rights of the film. The actor had recently turned producer for bilingual flick 'KSY' which was produced by his own production house 'Etaki Entertainment'. 

Vicky Donor is likely to be remade in Tamil and Telugu and the big question is whether Siddharth would play the lead or rope in another actor. An official confirmation is awaited.

Karthi and Surya in NVOK

Karthi appeared as a special guest in the 'Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi' game show hosted by Surya on Thursday. Karthi's episode with Surya will also continue on Monday.
