The film will be produced by Vetrimaran's Grass Roots Productions' and Dayanidhi Azhagiri's 'Cloud nine Movies' together. Vetrimaran has written the script and will be directed by his assistant Manikandan.

Saguni theatrical rights for a record price!!!

Saguni theatrical rights for a record price!!!

The theatrical rights of Saguni has been sold for a whopping price of 23 crores to Vendhar Films. The high trade value of the film is attributed to Karthi's previously released films being commercially success at the BO. The actor has not given any flops so far and also the movie has gained huge expectations.

Saguni is a political thriller where Karthi plays the role of a cunning man who grows to rule the state with his smart and intelligent moves. The release of the film had been delayed due to various reasons and the film is expected to hit the screens in June. The audio of the film is expected to be released soon. The film has been directed by Shankar Dayal and music has been scored by G.V. Prakash. Radikaa, Kota Srinivas Rao, Prakash Raj, Mumtaz, Nasser and Roja are also part of the cast. The film is produced by Dream Warriors.

Glimpse of Vishwaroopam soon!

A glimpse of Kamal Haasan's magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam' is to be released on May 1. It is now confirmed that the First Look of Vishwaroopam and a short 30 second stunning teaser is to be released on that day. The film is a war film and Kamal Hassan is to play the role of an Army General. Andrea and Pooja Kumar play the lead roles. The film has been directed by Kamal Haasan and music by Shankar-Eshaan-Loy.

Kareena plays Arundhathi

Kareena Kapoor is currently shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine'. The star is next said to be playing the lead in remake of the 2009 Telugu Blockbuster Film 'Arundadhi'. Arundhati is a fantasy action thriller set in ancient times with breathtaking graphics and technology. Anuskha has played the lead role and had been highly appreciated for her performance in the film.

Kareena has been approached to play Arundhathi and the actor is likely to reprise the woman centric role. Gemini Film Circuit had bought the Hindi remake rights of the film. Gemini will produce the film along with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. 

Hindi 'Vettai' to begin

The Hindi remake of Vettai will go on floors in June. There were problems in starting the film due to various reasons, one of them being translating the dialogues of the film in Hindi with the same essence as in Tamil. The problem is said to have been sorted out with the production house UTV has hired a dialogue writer for the job. The Hindi version of the film will have be completely different and be modified to suit the North Indian audience. 

Shahid Kapoor plays the lead role. Ali Zafar will reprise the role played by Madhavan. Illeana D'Cruz to play the female lead. The film is directed by Lingusamy which will be his first directorial venture in Hindi.

Sasikumar in Sundarapandian

Sasikumar will play the lead in a new film titled 'Sundarapandian' to be directed by one his former associate Prabhu. The film will have Lakshmi Menon, who is currently acting in 'Kumki' directed by Prabhu Solomon as the leading lady. The film' shooting began on Wednesday and the film is to be shot in Theni and Karaikudi. Music by Raghunandan. The film will be produced by Sasikumar's 'Company Productions'.

Surya is set to work with director Hari for 'Singam 2', the sequel of blockbuster Singam after Maatraan. Hari who has finalised the script has started to focus on the music for the film. Devi Sri Prasad who gave foot tapping music in Singam will compose music for the this film also. Devi Sri Prasad has started composing the music for the film. Anushkha and Hansika play the female leads in the film.
