The producer of 'Thuppakki', Kalaipuli Thanu in a recent interview had said that the First Look of Thuppakki will be released this week. Two first look stills are to be released. The first look stills are done and sources in the know are raving about Vijay's stylish look and the design of the poster. The third schedule of the movie is happening in Matunga area of Mumbai. Film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and music by Harris Jayaraj.

Vijay fans are eagerly awaiting for the release of Thuppakki First Look to catch a glimpse of their favourite hero in one of the most anticipated films. There has been a delay in the release of the First Look and different dates were announced about its release, the latest being Tamil New Year. Fans were disappointed as there was no release on that day as expected. Hope the First Look will be out this week and put an end to the long wait!

Santhosh Sivan is the first Indian to become ASC member!!

Santhosh Sivan, the ace cinematographer has become the member of the 'American Society of Cinematographers'. He is the first DOP in Asia who has received this prestigious membership. ASC membership is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a professional cinematographer, a mark of prestige and distinction.

The cinematographer's name was recommended by Michael Chapman, the cinematographer of Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. Santhosh Sivan who is happy about the honour has said, "I think it is a dream comes true to be part of American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). I have to thank all my directors like Mani Ratnam, Priyadarsan and others.”

Santhosh Sivan is currently handling the camera for Thuppakki and his accreditation, ASC, will first appear in this film.

The latest addition on Vikram's 'Thandavam' directed by A.L. Vijay is Lakshmi Rai. The film has already two heroines Anushka and Amy Jackson. Lakshmi Rai would be the third female lead in the film. The actress had been a part of two major hits of last year 'Mankatha' and 'Kanchana'. Thandavam shooting is currently happening in London and Lakshmi Rai will join the team from May for a 25 days shoot. The team is expected to return in mid June after completing this schedule. Music by G.V. Prakash. The film is likely to hit the screens in August or September.

Arulnidhi's film 'dropped'

Actor Arulnidhi who gave a sleeper hit film 'Mounaguru' was next working with director Karu Pazhaniappan in a film titled 'Ashokamitran'. The film is said to have been dropped due to unknown reasons. The film went on floors in February and was produced by 'Mohana Movies'. 

Billa 2 teaser crosses 1 million views

Billa 2 teaser which was released on Tamil New Year's day has crossed one million views on Youtube within the shortest span of its release in spite of the teaser not being available for view recently due to some technical problems which was sorted out later. 

Billa 2 is titled as 'David Billa - The Beginning' in Telugu. The film will have a grand opening in Telugu also. The audio of the film will be released on May 1. The film is directed by Chakri Toleti and music by Yuvan.

Simbu is currently in Hong Kong for the songs shoot of Poda Podi. A song is currently being shot in Disneyland. Varalakshmi, the female lead plays the role of a ballet dancer. Simbu's nephew will be seen in the film as Simbu's kid. Gowtham Menon has appeared in a cameo in the film. 

Actress and Dancer Shobhana is playing a pivotal role. The film has 6 songs and music has been scored by Dharan Kumar. Most of the portions in the film would be shot in UK. The film is directed by Vignesh Sivan.
