Gautham blames his 'stars'

Gautham Menon in a recent interview to leading magazine had blamed the lead actors for the failure of his movies. The director was questioned about his attempts in making Hindi films despite them failing at the box office.

The director had mentioned that Madhavan didn't care to lose his weight in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein though he had insisted. He had also not spared Prateik Babbar, hero of his latest Hindi flick, 'EK Deewana Tha' (Hindi VTV) saying that the actor had already given four flop films, all the more reason why the film didn't click.

The director also added that the film would have done well if Ranbir Kapoor had played the lead instead of Prateik. Gautham feels that lack of bankable stars in his films was the main reason for the failure despite good storyline. 

Nanditha Das returns!!!

Nanditha Das who was appreciated for her performance in 'Azhagi' is said to have been roped in for a crucial role in Neer Paravai directed by Seenu Ramasamy of 'Thenmerku Paruvakatru' fame. The role is an intense one and the director felt Nanditha would fit the bill perfectly.

Nanditha who had appeared in few Tamil films like Kannathil Muthamittal, Vishwa Tulasi has agreed to play the role and would be joining the team for a ten day shoot in May. Vishnu and Sunaina play the lead roles. The film is produced by Red Giant Movies.
