Bubbly actress Hansika is on cloud nine as her recent flick 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' is running successfully all over. The actress is currently working in Vettaimannan with Simbu and Deeksha Seth. She has been confirmed to play the lead role opposite Arya in the Tamil remake of Delhi Belly. Hansika will be Simbu's love interest in a new film titled 'Vaalu' to be produced by Nic Arts and directed by debutant Vijay.

The charming actress has also been roped in Hari's 'Singham 2' with Surya. She has also signed new Telugu projects with happening heroes. Hansika is happy about the way her career is progressing and hoping to achieve new milestones in her career.

Irandam Ulagam is an upcoming film starring Arya and Anuskha in the lead roles directed by Selvaragavan. The first look pictures featuring Arya and Anushkha were released yesterday. The picture shows the lead pair looking simple sans any glitz and glamour. The lead pairs are said to play the role of doctors in the film. Arya and Anuskha will be playing dual roles in the film. The film will be a new genre which explores  romance, adventure, action, period backdrop and mystic effects says the director.

A 'church' in Kadal

The shooting of Mani Ratnam's upcoming film 'Kadal' starring Gautham and Samantha is progressing in a brisk pace. A church plays an important part in the film as the love story revolves around the church. The director had wanted to shoot the portions in a church in Tutocorin. Since the people there didn't approve of the shoot inside the church, the director had continued the shoot with a church set. 

Popular writer Jeyamohan who has penned the script along with Mani Ratnam has turned a lyricist in this film. He had penned the lyrics for a song in Kadal. Music by A.R. Rahman.

Deepika joins Kochadaiyaan team

Hot Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be joining the Kochadaiyaan team for the second schedule at Kerala. The dusky beauty couldn't be a part of the first schedule which was shot in London. Deepika will be joining the team for a 4 days shoot and director Soundarya plans to complete most of the portions involving her. The shooting is said to happen at Chitranjali Studios in Trivandrum. The animations in the film are also to be done in a popular animation studio there.

Vazakku En 18/9 gets UA certificate

Vazhakku Enn 18/9 directed by Balaji Sakthivel of 'Kadhal' fame has cleared with a UA certificate. The film is produced by Lingusamy's production house 'Thirupathi Brothers' and the film is set to hit the screens on May 4. Mithun, Sri, Urmila and Manisha have played the lead roles. Music by guitarist Prasanna.
