Latest news doing the rounds about Shankar's next project is that Surya is being eyed by the director for the lead role. The director is said to have discussed his project with Surya and the actor also seems to be interested in the script. Surya is currently shooting for Maatraan and is set to work with Director Hari for 'Singham 2'. Buzz is Surya is likely to play the lead in Venkat Prabhu's next film with Studio Green.

The big question is will Surya be able to accommodate the dates for Shankar's film along with his other commitments. Also earlier it was Vikram who was touted to play the lead. We need to wait for an official confirmation on who will bag Shankar's next film Surya or Vikram?

The shooting of Bhoopathy Pandian's untitled film with Nayanthara and Gopichand is progressing in a brisk pace. The First Look of the film was recently released featuring the duo. The film is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. Gopichand plays the role of a cop in this commercial entertainer while the role played by Nayan as not been revelead. 

After wrapping its first schedule the team is set to leave to Switzerland for the next schedule. Few songs are to be shot there. Thaman is the music composer for this film. Cinematography by Shakthi Saravanan.

Kamal to endorse brands for a purpose

Kamal Hassan, the legendary actor who had made a mark in the film industry for over 50 years is now set to endorse brands for the first time in his career. The actor has signed up with Alliance Media and Entertainment Private Ltd, which is a celebrity sourcing and talent management firm for the purpose. The company handles popular celebrities like Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya, SRK, Kareena amongst others. 

The main reason behind the decision is to use the money towards fulfilling his charitable visions. The actor had said, 'I look forward to yet another first in my life - that of  brand endorsements - and to keep being able to do my bit for society'. Announcements regarding the brands he will be endorsing is expected soon. 

Dhanush's Mollywood heroine?

Dhanush is next set to work with Director Bharath Bala for a film produced by Aascar Films. Mollywood actress Parvathy is buzzed to be paired opposite to Dhanush. Parvathy had previously acted in 'Poo' opposite Srikanth and had been greatly appreciated for her performance in the film. 

The director had felt that Parvathy will fit the bill perfectly according to the storyline and there is ample scope for her to perform too. The actress who is busy in Mollywood is looking forward to working with Dhanush. A.R. Rahaman to score music for the first time for a Dhanush film.

OKOK - Litmus test for Udhay and Rajesh

OKOK starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hansika and Santhanam is to hit the screens tomorrow. The film marks the debut of Udhayanidhi Stalin who also happens to be the producer of the film. Santhanam is considered the biggest asset and the USP of the film. Music has been scored by Harris Jayaraj. The trailers and teasers released seemed to have caught up with the audience.

The film being a romantic comedy promises unlimited laugh busters like the previous films 'Siva Manusula Sakthi' and 'Boss Engira Baskaran directed by Rajesh. Will Rajesh be able to weave his magic on the audience for the third time? The film will be a litmus test for Udayanidhi Stalin who has to prove himself as a hero and for the director Rajesh as well.
