Shankar eyes Deepika?

Director Shankar is all busy readying the script for his next venture after Nanban. Vikram is buzzed to play the lead and the film is to be produced by Aascar Film. The latest we hear is that Shankar is interested in bringing in Deepika Padukone for the female lead. According to sources, talks are on with the dusky beauty but its too early for things to be confirmed. Deepika seems to be excited that she has been under consideration by one of the top film makers and if everything goes on well, Deepika will be part of another mega venture after Kochadaiyaan.

A.R. Rahman is likely to be roped in for this project. The film is to be shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. The film is buzzed to begin once Vikram wraps up Thandavam.

Kamal's suggestion for '3'

Kamal Haasan is busy with the post production work of his magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam'. The actor is currently in U.S for the sound mixing of the film. Kamal who had seen '3' before he left to U.S was highly impressed with the film and bowled over by Shruthi's acting. The veteran actor however seemed to have suggested few changes for its Hindi version, the main point being changing the flavour of the film to suit the Hindi audience.

'3' stages of love in Gautham's NEP

Gautham's upcoming trilingual flick 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' is a journey of love in 3 stages of life. The film talks about love that blossoms and transcends in the age 15-20-25. Jiiva and Samantha play the lead in the Tamil version. 50% of the film is said to have been completed. Music by Ilayaraja. Song recording is currently progressing in London.

Simbu smashes rumours

The day Nayanthara announced her comeback to films, grapevine was abuzz about her teaming up with Simbu in one project or the other. The latest being the new film 'Vaallu' Simbu had signed up recently where the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. Simbu who had been hearing various stories surrounding him and Nayanthara has cleared the air saying that he is unlikely to pair up with Nayanthara for any project.
