The ongoing war between the FEFSI (Workers Union) and Producer's Council is yet to reach a mutual solution. The Producers Council who have not agreed on the pay scale announced by the FEFSI had been throwing tantrums of forming a new union against FEFSI. FEFSI workers who had met yesterday have made a strong decision to stop the shooting and post-production work of all films starting April 7. FEFSI has said this time they will stop shoots, post-production work of all Tamil films anywhere in India or abroad.
Major film shooting was halted for more than a month due to strike starting Jan 23 and slowly the biggies and other films had resumed shooting only recently. This announcement may now further delay the film releases and incur heavy loss for the film industry.
