Surya's upcoming movie 'Maatraan' directed by K.V. Anand is one of the most anticipated movies and the expectations on the film are rising with each passing day. The film is said to have lot of twists and turns that will keep you hooked on to your seats from the beginning to the end. The Editor of the film, Anthony had tweeted, "inge oru twustu angae oru twustu orae twustaaa poothu pa Padam!! Intervalila seatavutu anjikamaatinga, athuvum oru twustu" about the film. 

The film had recently incorporated Performance Capture Technology in Visual Effects which has raised a lot of curiosity among the audience. The film shooting is still in progress. The film is expected to be released in the end of June or in July. Kajal Agarwal plays the female lead. Music by Harris Jayaraj.

UTV walks out of Vazhukku Enn and Kumki

UTV Motion Pictures and Thirupathi Brothers had signed a deal to jointly produce Balaji Sakthivel's 'Vazhakku Enn 18 / 9' and Prabhu Solomon's 'Kumki'. The latest buzz is UTV has walked out of these 2 films and Lingusamy's production house will continue with the marketing and distribution of these films. The decision to part ways was mutual. UTV is currently producing Vikram's Thandavam, Jiiva's Mugamoodi and Sundar C's 'Masala Cafe' in Tamil.

Ram Gopal Varma wants Kamal as super cop

RGV is planning to make a movie based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. He is in the process of finalizing the cast for the film. The director prefers to have Kamal Haasan or Sanjay Dutt to play the role of Anti Terrorism Squad Head Rakesh Maria, the lead investigator in the 26/11 terror attacks. Sanjay Dutt who is currently playing the role of a cop in Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming cop flick 'Department' is awaiting the response for this film at the Box Office and hence has not given a nod.

On the other hand, RGV had also spoken to Kamal Haasan on the role. Kamal who is currently busy with this magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam' is yet to get into the details of the role. Kamal is set to complete his Vishwaroopam first before getting into any other ventures. We need to wait to know who will be the super-cop finally!
