Simbu and Varalakshmi (SarathKumar's daughter) starrer Poda Podi has been in the making for quite sometime. The long tenure of the film is attributed to the storyline of the film which demands the film being shot in a particular season of the year and showcasing the lead pair in three phases of their life. The film was earlier shot in London.

The final schedule of the film is set to begin from March 20 in Macau, Hong Kong. Simbu who had been to U.S for the recording of his musical venture 'Poda Podi' is expected to join the sets soon. Vignesh Sivan directs the film and music by Dharan. The Audio will be released soon and the film is to be released in a couple of months.

Jiiva plays the SuperHero in his upcoming flick 'Mugamoodi' directed by Mysskin. The genre is the first of its kind in Tamil Cinema. The film shooting is progressing well in a brisk space. The first shot with Jiiva in his SuperHero look was shot very recently. Jiiva is said to have fit the bill perfectly and looked dashing in this new superhero look. Special care has been taken in designing a stylishly looking Super Hero costume for Jiiva. Jiiva's new SuperHero look to be revealed only during the Audio Launch of the film and to kept in secrecy till then. 

Narain plays the superhero villain in this film. A hardcore negative character which has equal importance as much as the superhero role played by Jiiva. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead. Nassar plays an important role. Music by K of 'Yudham Sei' fame. The film is slated for a summer release.
