Billa 2 has only 3 more days to shooting completion

Billa 2 is now shooting the last song and has only 3 more days to complete the shooting. But, fans need to wait more than 70 days to see Ajith on the big screen. The movie was initially scheduled to release on April 14th. Unfortunately, due to Producer Council-FEFSI strike, the final schedule of shooting got delayed by a few weeks. Director Chakri Toleti who has been editing and handling post-production had estimated the first copy to be ready by first week of May.

When the co-producer Suresh Balajee expressed their intent to SAC and Producer Council about releasing the movie by first week of May, they got a strong denial from the council claiming that Billa-2 will be releasing within short gap following the release of Sakuni and 3. The Council clearly said Billa-2 needs to wait 45 days between big releases.

Now, it is 45 days between big releases

It was revealed that the council has changed their policy again by moving away from allowing big releases on big festival days to biggies spaced at least 45 days in between releases. The producers of Billa-2 were disappointed because of losing out on an ideal date of release during the first week of May. All the active producers and directors feel constrained about excessive control influenced by the various councils.

The industry was keenly expecting Billa-2 to break-down the stranglehold of all unions and councils by deciding on a release date of their own choice. It is important to note that none of these council regulations will not even stand in the face of the court/laws. Most of these producers abide by these artificial rules only because of the fear and possible troubles by antagonizing the council which has strong connections to the ruling government.
