Sony snatches Billa 2!

Sony snatches Billa 2!

Sony Music has acquired the audio rights of the much awaited Ajith's 'Billa 2' after a very tough competition. The deal has been made by Sony for a whopping price which is said to be the highest for an Ajith's film. The audio release of the movie is likely to happen around the 4th week of March. 

The film shooting is almost complete except for a song featuring Ajith and Parvathy Omnakuttan. The location for the song shoot is yet to be finalized. The movie which is largely buzzed to be released on May 1 may be released before on April 27 targeting a weekend release. However official confirmation is awaited. Yuvan has done the music score. Chakri Toleti has directed the film.

Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' kickstarts

The shooting of the much awaited Mani Ratnam's new film 'Kadal' has started from yesterday in Manapad, a coastal village between Thuthukudi and Tiruchendur. The film has Gautham and Samantha playing the lead roles. Arjun, Aravindsamy, Tollywood actress Laskmi Manchu play important roles in the film. The film is touted to be a love story. Music by A. R. Rahman.

Ajith and Arya team up for 'Race'?

Ajith is next set to work with director Vishnuvaradhan after 'Billa 2'. Arya and Nayanthara are to team up with Ajith in this new flick. Latest buzz is that the movie would be a remake of the Hindi flick 'Race', a multi-starrer film, starring Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles. The movie is a racy action thriller which deals with the rivalry between two brothers.

The movie would be a comeback movie for Nayanthara in Kollywood. Music by Yuvan.

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi Trailer

OKOK audio was launched yesterday amidst stars galore at a grand event. Surya and Karthi were the chief guests for the function. Many prominent celebrities from the film industry were present at the launch function. Audio of the film as well as a new trailer was released yesterday at the event.

Harris Jayaraj has done the music score for the film. The film has five tracks.
